>> the suspect was charged with fare evasion disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. the child was not harmed and was safely returned to her mother. now to a land mark legal victory for gay rights movement today u.s. supreme court has decided the same sex couples have the constitutional right to marry and therefore, gay marriage is legal in all 50 states. the vote was five-four today justices say that the states cannot ban same sex marriage. decision came after several lower courts had overturn state bans on same sex marriage. president obama praised the historic ruling from the white house rose garden. >> this ruling will strength even all of our communities by offering all loving same sex couples the dignity of marriage across this great land. >> not everyone is celebrating the cream court's ruling, including the archdiocese of philadelphia archbishop chaput released a statement saying the mistakes of the

court changed nothing about the nature of men and women and the truth of god's word. well, for every ruling like this there are thousands of personal stories individual lives affect by the decisions. married, it solidifies things in a way that everyone universally understands. >> reporter: joy he and brian felt that day will be repeated, over and over again across the country in men and women, who not long ago that joy may have felt impossible because of where they lived 15-four vote later and things changed so fast both for those in relations already and for those discovering who they are. >> young people who have not even come out yet probably just feel safer knowing that there is something familiar in their future. >> reporter: it is a familiar future that awaits elainea her two dad clear liz in love with their little girl and when she's old enough to realize who her parents are day machine and brian are glad that day will come in a more inclusive society. >> just think 20 years from now she will think it is craze that i we were even a question. >> reporter: for now they will just focus on helping her learn to walk.

chris christie continues to dance around the question of whether he will launch a presidential bid. governor was in trenton where he signed a state budget he made veto to tax increases and added an additional 200 million-dollar in the state pension fund: when asked about his plans to run he tipped his hand add an announcement, an announcement could come next tuesday. we're not answering any questions. i'm here as governor to talk about state business. there will be time to talk about my political future next week. >> reports say that the governor would make that presidential announcement tuesday at his former high school in livingston essex county. delaware's first medical marijuana dispensary opened in

temporarily impaired. and that a lot of people down here disappointed. they have come a long way to see the duck. it turns out that the pontoon as she was riding in, as they did parade of ships took on water and they took her down to find out she has a few holes in her. they had to repair those holes which is a lengthy process. all is not lost. rocky the baby duckies still on display and his mother will join him after he has been repaired. they are hoping that happens sometime, by the even of the weekend. they are shooting for tomorrow and hoping it will be back to normal will by sunday. that bought full day that you mentioned here, rocky is still available for pictures and everybody is invited down. now the fire works scheduled for tomorrow night will actually go on sunday night instead but it is a great time today and people having a really good time down here so we are live in camden, alongside, the delaware river and "eyewitness news" will be right back.
